About This Spot

Stepping into Gazzolo's Sausage Co Restaurant and Deli feels like discovering a quietly cherished neighborhood treasure, where the hum of everyday life slows just enough to savor something genuine. Tucked away with a discreet entrance, this spot invites guests to peel back layers of brisk San Bernardino into a warm, cozy nook filled with the aromas and textures of hearty German flavors.

The ambiance is intimate and unpretentious, a place where the easy rhythm of friendly service meets genuine care for each plate served. The decor hints at a European influence without veering into formality — wood-lined counters, simple tables, and carefully chosen details that make you want to linger, whether you’re nestled at the bar or gathered in a quiet corner.

What makes Gazzolo’s experience truly resonate is how every bite seems thoughtfully crafted, reflecting tradition but also inviting discovery. From the gentle spice of paprika in the goulash to the crisp snap of a freshly fried schnitzel, each dish feels like a story unfolding, offering comfort just as much as a touch of adventure. The fresh German bread and house-made sausages bring a tangible sense of place, while cold brews and carefully selected beers add to the relaxed, unhurried pace.

Despite its understated exterior, the restaurant holds a reassuring confidence in its craft and warmth. Guests often find themselves returning not only for the authentic flavors but for the sense of familiarity and the attentive kindness of the staff that makes even first-timers feel like regulars. It’s a spot where sharing a meal becomes a quiet celebration of both heritage and the simple joy of good company.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Gazzolo's. I would definitely recommend it. My server Falla was very knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly.

From the outside I thought this place was closed down and abandoned, for years! Today I just found out it was actually open , the entrance is in the back… Let’s talk food! It was delicious! Freshly made and lots of flavors, the pastrami was the best and the German potato salad was amazing, never had anything like that before! The restaurant was so cute even up to the plates and it was clean and the Air conditioner was crisp. Service was great, our waiter was nice and attentive. We will be back to try other items.

Schnitzel for the win! First time going there, the food was good stuff for sure, and the decor is cool. Will return to try some different things, and bring a friend next time. That neighborhood is iffy, but it's not the restaurant's fault of course.

Great authentic German food and fresh homemade sausage meals. The service is amazingly friendly and helpful with menu options. Definitely returning to try other dishes

Sehr lecker! This was a spur of the moment decision for me, but I am glad I stopped in. This is a smaller restaurant with a cozy feel. Tables and seats at the counter. They have a very good selection of sausages and other european dishes. Everything tasted wonderful and authentic. They have a generous selection of German beers, both on tap and in the bottle. The service was quick and friendly despite being busy. This is on my list of favorites now.

American soilders brought home German wives from the War II, and this place was established ever since. Great experience, flavorful meals. Ask for a side of HorseRadish

Gazzolo’s was amazing! The owner, Jay (I believe), was very kind to us. I got the Beef Rouladen and my boyfriend got the Jagerschnitzel. Both meals were delicious and filling. We also bought two packs of beef jerky and they’re amazing as well! Definitely recommend this business.
